After a very successful first five international dental congresses we are happy to announce that we’ll host the 6th international dental student congress in Ljubljana. We wish to make it unforgettable for all of you once again.

The congress, organized by the Slovenian Dental Student International Committee – SiDSIC, will take place from the 27th of March to the 29th of March 2020 and we hope to gather participants from all over the world as well as our national students. It will be an excellent presentation of SiDSIC, our university, the city of Ljubljana and of course our beautiful country – Slovenia.

The congress will be held at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana, our capital city. On the first day our professors will give lectures from different fields – dentistry, maxillofacial surgery, prosthetics, orthodontics, periodontology and others. You will also get a chance to present your research work and the best one will be rewarded. The second day will be devoted to dental practice. You’ll get the chance to choose from a variety of workshops such as: Teeth Bleaching, Esthetic Veneers, Mechanical Preparation of Root Canals, Dental Sandblasting and others. In the evening we’ll meet again at the Gala party.

On Sunday we’ll go no a trip to a special place in Slovenia. You’re probably asking yourself where. Let’s keep that a secret for now, but we are sure you will love it. Please don’t hesitate to apply for the Sunday trip – it will only cost you extra 10€. We’re planning to return to Ljubljana at about 5pm.

The applications are going to open on the 6th of December 2019 at 20:00 in the evening (8pm) local time and close on the 8th of December 2019 at 20:00 (8pm) local time. After filling up the form, you’ll receive an e-mail with further details about the payment. Registration fee for domestic students is 55€.

Registration fee for international students who don’t need any accommodation is 85€.

Registration fee for international students (accommodation included) is 130€.

Registration fee includes:

• accommodation (3 nights, 26th – 29th of March 2020),
• food (breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch on Friday and Saturday),
• workshops material
• tickets to Friday’s party and Saturday’s gala evening concert,
• t-shirt, badge …

Payment

After you get the confirmation e-mail the payment must be made within 10 days to:

After we receive your application form we’ll send you an e-mail with further details about the payment. You must pay the registration fee within 10 days from receiving the confirmation e-mail of your registration. Please do not forget that all expenses of the bank transaction must be paid by the participant. In the opposite case, the organizers are authorized to require the payment of these expenses on spot. It is essential to send a confirmation of the payment (a copy of the bank transaction) to sidsic.congress@gmail.com. Bank wire transfer fees are not included in the “6th international dental student congress participation fee” amount.

In case of cancellation for justifiable reasons, you can get a refund of 50% if you cancel by February 10th 2020. After that no refund is possible!

Please do not forget to include your full name in the comment section when transferring the fee. This will enable us to trace the applicants.

Your registration will be considered valid when you receive an e-mail from the Congress organizing team confirming that the payment has been successful.

There are two options of presenting your research works. You can have a poster, which you must bring with you to the congress. Or you can have a presentation of your work. You will present your research on Friday the 27th of March 2020. The presentation has to be short – it’ll be limited to 10-15 minutes. At the end the organizing committee will choose the best presentation with the help of our educators. This presentation will be rewarded.

Instructions:

Abstract length is limited to 250 words (title and author block not included). All the abstracts shall be structured as follows:

• Title
• Author block including the indication of the presenter
• Keywords (up to 7)
• Aim
• Material and Methods
• Results
• Conclusion

Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the presenting author to register to the Conference. Authors are allowed to present one abstract only. Abstracts will be approved according to their scientific/clinical merit and should be based on previously unpublished data. Abstracts has to be submitted in English only.

Abstract acceptance and programme scheduling will be communicated to the submitting author’s e-mail address. Notification of acceptance and information regarding presentations will be forwarded to the authors immediately after the reviewing process by e-mail. When sending us an e-mail please write as subject “ Presenter abstract [Name and Surname]”. Abstract deadline will be the 16th of February 2020!
